The first attempt to online creating online learning is to have a good blog. This blog will contain learning resources in which you can get up materials to use during the delivery of lessons or you can direct students for further studies and assignments. The blog may also contain e-books in which students read more about the topics he has taught the students. Apart from this, you can still upload the lessons delivered on the pages of the blog for reference points. If this is done, you are to start the process. Check the likely blog you may need or any other relevant to the design of your teaching-learning process. After creating a good blog, you will give it a professional name that will be catching.

Create social media/learning App.

These days, a lot of application channels such as Webinar channels, Google Meet, Zoom, Google classroom class, etc, and social media such as Facebook page, Whatsapp, Telegram, etc are good for lesson delivery. Many teachers, lecturers, facilitators, trainers, educators, and schools have been making use of these application channels and social media pages for professional and effective lesson delivery. As done for the blog, you will name the channel or page created for learning a professional name. The names may be “Classroom Hub”, “Online Learning Institute” “Online Learning College” etc.

Launch into a platform.

No matter what platform is whether small or big; an application or page, you will launch into it to mean that it is ready to be used. During the launch of the platform, you will prepare what materials should be in store for learning; what are the target audience and followers? Add up the followers.

The next step after you launch into the platform is to request adding up from the target audience or send an invitation to them to meet you for online learning that will add value to their performances in English. Many online facilitators or trainers face a lot of issues in this area. This is because they do not follow in getting followers or an audience. If you want to get traffic or a target audience, you have to professionally follow the following steps:

Invite before you add the audience: It is a wrong step when you create a learning platform and you do not invite the target audience or followers before you add them. It is a mark of spamming and catfishing to add an audience without an invitation. As you add, you will discover that a larger percentage of people will leave the group or platform immediately. Even, if some of them do not, they will not join any of your lessons; they may suspect you as one of the scammers or dupes.

Inform before you add the audience: It is also important to inform the audience you like to participate in the learning. Do not think everyone will buy your idea. Request their opinion before you move on to add.

Do not request at the initial stage: If you are at the initial stage of creating a platform for learning, do not request money. Even if the program will be monetized later, let the audience be convinced themselves. Work first to mobilize and build reasonable traffic and audience before talking about money. Requesting money at the initial stage will allow suspicion by the audience. Let your program promote itself.

Prepare the audience’s attention.

Once you have the audience, you will prepare them for adding them to the platform. Thereafter, set a day, date, and time for a meeting and how to get to the platform. The etiquette of the platform should be stated. One of the etiquette is punctuality. Tell them that lateness is not allowed.

State the platform’s rules.

Every good thing must have rules that guide it. It is very important to spell out the rules governing the operational system of the platform. The rules may range from lateness to the class, spamming the platform, interruptions during lessons, asking questions when it is not the time to do so or ask for them, turning the class into a noisy ad rowdy place, and so on.

Choose a topic.

Every time you want to meet the students to deliver a lesson or a lecture, choose a topic and state the topic. Then, state the objectives you intend to achieve at the end of the lesson or lecture.

Teach professionally.

Move on to the lesson properly and ask the students to pay attention during the delivery of the lesson or lecture or training. There should be no interruption of any form. Questions should be suspended until the trainer or teacher asks for them or at the end of the lesson or training. Make the fun by creating a conducive environment for learning, creating instructional materials and teaching aids such as pictures, charts, and so on. The online tutoring or training should be interactive and engaging. The class must be lively and interesting. It is the class in which a teacher must professionally engage his/her student in the teaching and learning process. The teacher must not dominate the class.

Create time questions and answers (Evaluation).

Formative evaluation and summative evaluation should be used to assess the understanding of the students. The formative evaluation technique occurs when the lesson is in progress while the summative evaluation technique occurs at the end of the lesson. So, give the students ample exercises during and at the end of the lesson.

Give students an assignment.

It is important to give the students an assignment. The assignment is usually to prepare them ahead of the next class. You may direct them to a resource blog or website where they can read more and get information relevant to the topic. They can be directed to a page of a blog like this one for further studies.

Book the next appointment.

The teacher should make the next appointment with the students. Do not end dismiss the students without agreeing on the date to meet. Even if they have the timetable and know the date before, seek their opinion about the date and confirm. The statement such as “I think tomorrow at noon is the next class” Their Yes or No response emphasized the confirmation.

Conclude properly.

To conclude is simple to many people but it is technical. Before you dismiss your students, it is important to also ask whether anyone has any other thing share that can benefit the class. If there is, welcome it, but if there is none, then say “bye” and leave the class.
